President and founder of Core States Engineering, John has over 13 years experience in the petroleum industry. He is intimately involved in the daily management of all of the company's offices. John's work ethic and customer focus has enabled Core States to establish a reputation as a leader in the retail petroleum engineering and project management field.

John's background includes Amerada Hess, where he developed a hands-on approach to construction management of fueling facilities. John also served as a Lead Design Engineer at Sunoco, where he managed the site design and rebranding of service stations in the Eastern Pennsylvania area. John's experience in the position of owner's representative enables him to appreciate client demands and focus on exceeding client expectations.

Rich has been involved in the retail/ C-Store/ petroleum industry since 1979, first for a fuel contractor as a field technician, foreman, project manager and construction department manager. For over twenty six years, Rich has been involved in various scopes and projects, associated with new retail construction, remodel programs and compliance work for BedBath & Beyond, Circle K, Atlantic Richfield, KB Toys, Sam’s Club and other major retail corporations.

Rich spent thirteen years in the field, with hands on experience in the construction and maintenance phase of the retail construction, petroleum market, and interfacing with engineers, environmental consultants and architects during all phases of construction. Rich has been project/construction managing programs that range from ground up, raze & re-builds to remodel and compliance upgrade projects.

Rich also was responsible for project management and Field Supervision for Flying J Truck Stops, a Seven-Up Distribution Center, and Exxon Tiger Mart stores in Memphis.

Rich joined on with John Scheffey in the Georgia office in September 2000, bringing hands-on field and project management knowledge with an array of major oil companies.

Glenn has been developing gas stations as both a consultant and owners representative since 1988 when he worked as a construction engineer and maintenance manager of Amerada Hess Corporation. This gave Glenn hands-on experience and technical knowledge of all aspects of retail petroleum development. After several years as an engineering consultant in the Southeast, he joined Hess as Northern Permit Manager in 1998. He has testified at hundreds of zoning and planning boards, and has obtained approvals for new construction, raze and rebuild, and add convenience store projects.

Glenn opened the New Jersey office for Core States in January 2001, bringing engineering and management experience obtained while working on projects for Circle K, Phillips 66, Hess, Air BP, Q Lube and others.

Having started his career "in the trenches" back in 1991, Dick has gathered a mix of field, project management, and engineering experience, to provide customers a wide knowledge and expertise in the Petroleum industry.

For five years Dick was involved with Mobil Oil as Marketing Engineer and Project Development Manager, as a team leader to contract and manage teams of engineers, architects, attorneys and other specialists to develop 23-35 projects per year in Connecticut, Rhode Island and Western Massachusetts. Dick was responsible to coordinate with real estate, field engineers and marketing for the optimal design and execution of a 15 million dollar construction budget.

Dick opened the Virginia office for Core States in April 2001, bringing engineering and management experience obtained while working on Mobil Oil, Getty Oil, Phillips 66, Tosco/ Circle K, Sam's Club, Merit Oil, Costco, Car Spa, Eckerd Pharmacy, Virginia DMV and Tesoro Petroleum.
